Data Protection Policy

Carbobull Trailer Store GmbH – Data Protection Policy
Thank you for visiting our Internet pages and for showing interest in our company, and our products and services. The protection of your personal data during the entire processing process for all our business activities is of the highest importance to us. We are committed to making you feel secure when visiting our Internet pages.
For this reason, observance of the statutory provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act („Bundesdatenschutzgesetz“ (BDSG)) and the German Act for Telecommunications Media Services („Telemediengesetz“ (TMG)) is standard practice in our company. We also want to ensure that you have full knowledge at all times of which of your data is stored when and what it is used for.

Personal data
Generally, you are able to use our Internet pages without disclosing your identity. Should you however wish to register for personalised services, for example to subscribe to a newsletter or apply for access to our Internet auction platform, we will request your name and other personal information (such as address or phone number). These individual pieces of information relating to personal or material circumstances or a specific natural person are also referred to as „personal data“. Without this information, we are unable to provide the requested services to you. Therefore, we exclusively collect data that is necessary in order to meet your requirements. Thus, you are able to decide yourself whether you wish to use the services we offer and subsequently provide us with the corresponding data, or whether you prefer to remain anonymous.

The personal data provided by you will be collected, processed, and used exclusively for purposes of meeting your requests, enquiries, or orders, or in order to make certain information or offers available to you. We will only use such data for product related surveys or marketing purposes with your express approval or – if so required by statutory provisions – if you have not objected.

We will not disclose, sell, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties, unless required for the performance of the contract or if you have given your express approval. For example, if you order goods online we have to pass on your data to our supplier. Otherwise, we will only pass on sensitive data if we are required to do so by law or an administrative or court order.

Automatically collected non-personal data
To enhance the appeal and efficiency of our Internet pages, we also collect and analyse non-personal data. For example, communication-related information or use-related information, such as the length of stay on our Internet pages, is automatically collected via the IP address of your computer or using technical means. We also record the name of the Internet provider, the operating system, the average dwelling time, or browser type used. This kind of data is not made available to third parties.

For purposes – inter alia - of collecting non-personal data, small files (so-called „cookies“) are transmitted to you, leaving information on your computer. By means of these cookies, we are able to recognise you when you revisit our website and optimise user guidance for your benefit. This means, for example, that you do not have to re-enter passwords every time you visit our site. In your browser settings, you are able to decide yourself whether you wish cookies to be blocked, deleted after closing the browser, or whether you are warned every time before saving a cookie.

Data maintenance
We rectify and complete stored data if and as soon as we gain knowledge of any changes. If need be, we also inform data recipients thereof. Stored data is deleted by way of an automatic procedure as soon as the statutory or contractual storage period expires or if the data is no longer needed.

Safety
We take all necessary technical and organisational safety precautions in order to ensure that your personal data is protected against unintentional or unlawful deletion, alteration, or loss, and against unlawful disclosure, transfer, or access.

Please note that data transfers via the Internet are unsafe and that unauthorised persons may be able to record such data or even manipulate it.

Should you wish to contact us by email, we would like to advise you that the confidentiality of the information transmitted by email cannot be guaranteed. It is possible that emails may be read by third parties. Therefore, it is recommendable in your own interest to communicate confidential information only by sending it through the post.

Your rights
You may demand to be informed of which of your personal data is stored by us, where it originates from, who is its recipient, and what are the reasons for retaining and storing it. Likewise, we are obliged in principle to rectify any wrong data and to block or delete data if storage is unlawful, or if it is no longer needed. Furthermore, you may object at any time to any future transfers or use of your personal data. Also, you are entitled to revoke at any time without stating reasons any consent given to the future collection, processing, and use of your personal data.
